Has anyone put a jet ski motor into the pontoons of a pontoon boat?

I have a pontoon boat, and have been thinking that if you dropped a jet ski motor/impeller pack into the pontoon on each side, you could get close to 500 HP with the weight below the water line. Combine it with a T handle for direction control and steering, and the boat could do a pivot steer or even sidle to the dock. What do you think?|||It's sound nice. but I think you must consider the front shape of your pontoon. If the front surface is perpendicular with the motion that could affect the resistance. Floating structure like pontoon not to design in a high speed acceleration. But it better as mass transport of stuff.|||It's been done. Not very successful as the pontoon is far heavier and slower than the original jet-ski - so the jet is working way outside of its intended range, and performance is very poor. The steering and docking capabilities are very good. The cost and performance is not.
