What is the reason for a pontoon boat to go under water in the front with only 3 people on board???

Ok last summer we had about 12-14 people on board our new pontoon boat and the front half went under water when we started going in the middle of the lake, Im sure it was b/c of the weight from 14 ppl but when it was just me, mom, %26amp; dad why did it start going under??? We were all in the middle of the boat sitting on the couches except my dad that was driving the boat. It is very disturbing being on the boat when it starts going under water. Has anyone else had this type of problem and why?|||Your pontoons are no doubt sectioned, allowing water in only certain areas. "thank goodness".

Tap the front sections as compared to the rear and they should sound different if one has water.

Pull it out if you have a trailer and look for a leak.

Lastly, for safety and peace of mind, have your dealer test it.|||The "pontoons" have taken on water.

The boat will sink unless you get it fixed.

Many of the newer pontoons are filled with a foam material similar to styrofoam that absorb water so it doesn't "slosh".

Unless you get it fixed it will eventually sink.|||Your pontoons probley have water in them. I have a weere's pontoon, and once or twice a year I get it on the trailer and drain my pontoons. Mine has a drain plug on each pontoon on the rear. You would be surprised at the amount of water that comes out.|||It sounds like engine angle. Adjust the engine so that it does not force the boa down. It needs to be more upright or perhaps with the prop more aft.

You may have water in the pontoons also, but it does sound like an adjustment problem.|||I'd guess you have water in your pontoons......or the trim is set really bad on your motor
