The deck surface is horizontal and the motor mount needs to be vertical and sturdy. I know not to attach anything to the edge of the plywood, so I need some sort of bracket to do this. Thank you.What kind of hardware do I need to attach a motor mount to a small pontoon boat.?
Fir this you need a couple of angle brackets as well as some marine grade plywood. The angle brackets will allow the plywood to be attached so that it's vertical. Fasten it with about a dozen stainless steel bolts with lock washers to make sure the nuts don't spin off as well as fender washers to distribute the stress.
