The manufacturer recommends a maximum of 75 h.p. But I just want to leisure cruise and don't need to pull a skier. Max number of people on the boat would be 7.What is the appropriate horsepower for a 20 foot pontoon boat.?
If it is rated for 75 horse power .then thats the maxium horse power to use..A 20 to 50 hp motor will do what you need to get around .What is the appropriate horsepower for a 20 foot pontoon boat.?
50 hp will be fine.Even a 25 will work but won't come up on a plane.
